Berry Christmas 2010!

My wild Christmas starts on the night of 23rd Dec. meeting up with old valuable friends. The night extended until 4 in the morning, and my flight in 4 more hours. Barely 3 hours of rest, and i'm on my way to the airport.

the flight was delayed. Just enough time for me to sleep at Starbuck for my next adventure.

Touched down Penang, meet up with Tobby. We had DIM SUM!

George Town had been added into UNESCO World Heritage list on the morning of 7th July 2008. Bestowed with 500 years of trading and cultural exchanges when East meets West, the influence of Asia-Europe had endowed the town with specific multicultural heritage. Khoo Kongsi is one the Heritage site.

the Khoo's family was having their lunch, and they invited me!!! Look how well i'd blended into their family! Same fashion sense!

the 3-D stone sculptures are amazing. i'd been to Ipoh, Malacca but this is way better stone craft.

Featuring residential and commercial buildings, George Town depicting British era from the end of 18th century, and these architectural and cultural, constitute uniquely without parallel anywhere in the East.

Despite the unique culture, Penang has the BEST LAKSA in the world!
the George Town from Kek Lok Shi
SO! This is the Yusuf Taiyoob i'd heard so much about on the radio!!! yusuf taiyoob~
Tobby brought me to countryside, laying side by side, enjoying the sunset of Penang Island. So romantic!

Tobby unwrapping his secret Santa's gift...
Yiks! i caught on camera, makan-ing chicken wings! Stephen Chow's favorite!!! the seafood is darn freaking good! Fingers licking good! lalala~

i haven't really got the time to check out all the temples in Malaysia, but this is by-far. the best i'd seem! the Nine-Dragons Temple.

i can't stop eating! Penang Char Kuey Tiao! Too spicy lah Tobby!
and Yau Char Guai! Crunchy cracking delicious :-)
11.59 Counting down for Christmas at Gurney.

i left, the very next day. Minus 4 hours of sleep, it's an amazing 20 hours of adventure! Thanks Tobby! George Town is dream!

and my flight got delay again. 2 hours. i need to rush for Hebe Christmas! 2,000 + of fans! 1 small entrance, lotsa cursing! There's a lady standing just next to me, screaming all her curses! Stupid. Chillax other hebe fans. Chill.

 goddess-like! LOVE.

That's how i spent my berry Christmas. Worshipping Hebe Tian.

my Macro vision.

Macro-photography is a high-beam of my vision, discovering and exploring, it moves me. Tremendously!
How is the eyes drawn to? How can that be used to move intentionally direct the eyes through the frame? Photographing macro is one of those joys and terrors of what i love.

Insects are not props we photographed, neither theme park mascots for our purposes, they're living being sharing the world with us. They were created by God Almighty! The increase of massive human pollution and destruction had put their lives at risk. It is pathetic.

The gesture. the power of macro-photography and the great deal of humility.

P/S: to a friend who is struggling at ICU now, May God bless him with great spirit to encounter the mediocre mind, and get well soon.

Light upon the Rangefinder!!!

Yashica Electro 35 GSN was produced during 1973-1977, with a built-in lens 45mm f1.7!!! Yashica Electro GSN was a revolutionary for its time, being the first camera with fully electronic automatic exposure! Despite, rangefinder market was well shaken up by Voigtlander, Leica and Contax, Yashica wasn't any far behind for sharpness and bokehness!

Rangefinder way of seeing and experiencing picture taking is substantially different from SLR. You might or might not like it, and i LOVE it!

Check out the god-like f1.7 COLOR Yashinon lens!!! it's a wonder.

Tele-Wide Rangefinder on the hot shoe! Darn cute isn't it?

it comes with 2 Lovely original TELE and WIDE lens!!!

classic Original leather pouch!!! i like!

Despite the age, the condition of this babe is awesome! 9.5/10!!! thanks to the damn good care from its previous owner!

!my future is analogue!

i Lomographed my life.

holding still with the 10 golden rules of Lomography!!! i tried.

1. Take my camera everywhere i go.
Frankly, i didn't. i left it at home when i went Ozzie, Krabi, S'pore. Damn. and i don't even know who the hell is Frank? i'd been using him as my adverb!!! gee! i'll bring it every so often now even if i don't shoot, it's like my fashion accessory now!

i brought it to Gambang WaterFront park! Water City park? Desa Park? whatever.

2. Use it! Day and Night!!!
hell yeah! i use it anytime!!! but mostly day time, because i love the sun, especially when it comes shine and flare upon my lens...love it! the Sun'll come out tomorrow!!!

3. Lomography is not an interference in life, but part of it.
Agree!! *like like* see it follows me to Window shopping! =D

4. Try the shot from hip. (Or aerial view!)
i did! but it doesn't look like hip shot! more likely knee shot!!! i'm so short freak! So i tried shooting from top down, so people will thought i'm so freakishly tall! xP

5. Approach the objects of your Lomographic desire as close as possible!
be Berry-the-close! i'll make it close enough to out focus next time! promise!

6. Don't think! Just shoot!
i don't think! i'm retarted freak. i shot with intuition! i shoot the things i like. Sky, Sun...and balloon over the sky! and tree? *frown*

7. Be Fast!
So fast until i forgot to wind the dial and overexposed!!!

8. You Don't have to know beforehand what you captured on film.
you mean...i close my eyes and shoot? okay! i'll do it on my next roll!!! obviously i did not close my eyes shooting this, but i did shut 1 eye though.

9. Afterwards either.
you'll never completely understand the world, but you'll understand your lomo ever less!!! Shite!

10. Don't worry about rules!
yeah! shoot first then get beaten later...=)

Duh' i'm not a terrorist! i'm just lomographing my life.

Tomorrow! Come what may.

the Sun'll come out Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar that Tomorrow, there'll be Sun
just thinking about Tomorrow
clears away all the cobwebs, and the sorrow
till there's none!

when i'm stuck a day
that's gray and lonely
i just stick out my chin and grin,
and say, Oh! the sun'll come out Tomorrow
so ye gotta hang out till Tomorrow

come what may.
