Night Macro@ Tmn Rimba Kiara

Been macro-MIA for a while now, and i'm back on track! Full Throttle!
Was trying to work on water striders, it's really hard. they're hopping on the big pond and my 1:1 Macro is far cry! Sadly couldn't get it all in focus, it was a bad position!

Robber Fly. Aggressive hunter! It catches its prey with those masculine legs, then pierces thru the prey with its  needle like tongue, inject with paralyzing saliva and suck out its prey... Enough of bullcrap. Long Story short, there was no Robber fly with prey that night.
Two loving Beetles... i think i have to work on my diffuser again, it always overblown capturing Black or White bugs...=(
a huge troops of Wasp! and one of these, stung on my hand! the pain was like Needle pierced thru your skin x10. It is that painful! and it's swollen now!

it wasn't that much of bugs that night, Night macro ends earlier than expected. Hope we'll get a better one next round!

the Leap

I'd been deceiving myself  in my own comfort zone for too long. I started photography with Landscape, because I can take as much times as I wanted to compose but don't give a damn for Landscape's feeling. It feels comfortable without human interaction, especially strangers. Then I moved on to Macro a year later, but, it was still within my comfort zone. I still don't have to interact with my subjects! Beside my Macro Buddies. but It was all self deception. WIMP! If you had seem my Batu Caves' shots earlier this year, that's the only time I accidentally stepped out of my comfort boundaries. I talked to Strangers, asked for pictures.

Until recently, I decided to make a step out of my comfort zone, indebted to a friend! Earnestly thanks to her! Ms. Matilda L. My first time is damn weak! I hate it in fact. All pieces of bullcrap. So I'd decided to walk further out of my comfort zone, and making another shoot in coming week. With shots I NEVER done before!!! Ideas are all flowing in my head, the styles, the themes, poses! But the reality is cruel, images playing in my mind could be so much differ from the outcome. So, let wait and see, then we laugh at my shots =)

Been searching for Meadows for the shots and it failed miserably, been praying for Sunlight, it rained on my parade. I don't pray often because God had gave me all I ever wanted, I just couldn't ask for more. But now, I pray to the merciful Sun Gods, Apollo, Helios, for a merciful Sunlight upon my parade.

Whenever I ask people what's their dreams or sort, "Traveling!" is always on top of the list. I believe, few people make it. Of course, Traveling is my dream too, especially backpacking! I made it once this year, but it was nothing close to backpacking so I'm planning another one next year! Backpacking! For real! Don't frown!

So, before embarking on my Backpacking dream, I practice a little at KL Downtown. It was a perfect place to sharpen my senses and acquire the knowledge to protect my gears.

Rage of Anthropomorphism

March ago, a young fashion designer scooped away the "the Best Design" award during the PJCAD graduation fashion show with conceptual Edward Scissorhands.

It was an honor to be invited to participate in the photoshoot. Although most of the time I was just stood by disoriented feeding mosquitoes while 2 other photographers already warmed up and start shooting. It was my first time, don't laugh.

And the prodigy you'd heard so much about is Ms. Matilda L. here's the Interview on Paper (in Chinese).
