Sunday Morning Macro is so Good!

Better than church. shhh....

Kinda stuck in 1:1 Macro for such a long while, was thinking about upgrading...lights, ET, lens... whatever! At least something! ish! I'm still well overwhelmed from my previous HIF, dang! i couldn't get any Insect in Flight last sunday! it's so hard!!! I tried Butterfly, Weevil, Wasp, Bee! Phailed!

but luckily! i found my first Soldier Termite! These fellow are usually blind, feeds on dead plant material, yes! it cause seriously damage to your wonderful house too! I found it on the dead wood, when i was trying to pick it up with leaf, notice that? it bite so hard!

Perhaps another Orb Weaver! =)

may be i'd been focusing too much on 1:1 Macro, kinda neglected how human eyes see these little buggers from far. this is a male Giraffe Weevil, stays on its host plant, and this is how fascinating it looks from far! Very cool stuff wasn't it?

Fruit Fly! an albino one!

an Orange caterpillar! very strange looking fellow.

A Leaffooted bug. Not left footed, leaf footed. Alright! i was confuse for a second. I thought it was named left footed, it ponders me awhile why they call it left footed... haha.

very interesting GrassHopper...

Pentatomoidea, commonly referred as Shield bug, chust bug, or stink bug. They have a glands in their thorax between first and second pair of legs which produce a foul smelling liquid, to curse on potential predators!!!

Cohn's Bronzeback Snake, one of the most widely distributed arboreal snake across SEA. Does it bites? Hell no. I was accidentally spooked it when i move closer...i think it's not my fault. it ran off after being brutally assaulted by Kurt's MPE.

Despite the bad focus! Stalk Eyed Fly is definitely my found of the day! It's so intriguing!

Laura T. Party

Life goes on. Apparently. People just move on pursuing their dreams, and Laura T. is pursuing her dream traveling around the world. When my friends departed for Uni Life oversea, somehow it wasn't that saddening because i know some of them would come back. But for the sake of work, totally different! So we made a little gathering for her, although not everyone turns up, it was a great night still.

Very good camouflage little bugger! If you look closely, it almost as if fallen flower, white blueish flower. Can you spot its eye? (ID Update on 26th Oct) Mealybug Destroyer. An insect predator, larvae stage.

Long Legged fly

Golden Tortoise Beetle! It is always stunning, vibrant with metallic gold! Brilliantly, this little genius can alter its color in short period of time, from Bright gold to dull color. How it controls the color changes is still an intriguing question.

Female Giraffe Weevil! Geewee~

Big Lynx with prey.

that's one small step for mankind, a giant leap for an ant.

Golden Robber fly! with little humpback.

Very nice caterpillar!

Wolf Spiders are always found with morning dews on their web, are they collecting the dews to attract prey? hmm.

Unknown spider identity. (ID Update 27 Oct) Orb-Web Spider, Spotted Orbweaver

Found of the day! Long-Horn Beetle. the long antennae are almost as long as its body length! It was reported as maximum length of 16cm of this babe! Awesome!
check out those golden sparkles all over the reddish exoskeleton! Credited to Nick who found it and Master Kurt who caught it with his barehand!
This gorgeous was too big for MPE user, so Kurt borrowed my Tammy for the full body shot! DAMN NICE! Look at the composition! Jeez Kurt! Thumbs up for you!

Lastly, a little accomplishment of mine. Hoverfly in flight! =)
Extremely fascinating Creature!

thanks for looking. Cheers! Gonna put an end to this mess of my room!

JW Summertime Solstice

Yes! It was eventual. I'd finally realized my first ever fashion shoot on my own! It was a mind boggling shooting! I couldn't be anymore grateful to 2 of my models, designer, stylist... for enduring all the sweats and for being so much patience when I was trying to figure out my shoots. I reckon it was terrible, everything was messed up. Also, a special thanks to a wonderful friend, Heng who gave me lights, picking up all my mess and shades my models from cruel sun heat! For being on location earlier than everyone else to setup all the lights and stands for me, it was awesome of what you did my friend!

Sincerely thankful for everyone's help.

It was a first fashion shoot on my own, some shots failed and turned out to be so much of a portrait than fashion shoot, although both often distinguish by such thin line. Some of the shoots did turn out as what i expected! I had too many ideas gushing out, and mostly i can't really handle the ideas. Well, one thing i learnt, i'm seriously need to be more picky on the ideas and themes of my shoots. So much inconsistency! Especially on group shot, it was 10 in the morning, the sun was too harsh!

Try to enjoy my wimpy shots.
